I received a call from a prospective client today, also a member of the Nashville Chamber, who found my business on the Chamber website. I literally sent my Chamber dues in on Monday and received her phone call on Thursday as a new client. The fees from the client's tax work will well exceed the cost of my Chamber membership. My investment in the Chamber paid itself off in only four days -- could it be any easier?

Nashville Music Council

In an effort to capitalize on Nashville’s identity as Music City, the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce worked with Mayor Karl Dean’s office to launch the Nashville Music Council in 2009.

The Council is co-chaired by Mayor Dean and Mary Ann McCready, partner, Flood, Bumstead, McCready & McCarthy. It is composed of more than 60 artists and industry executives who are dedicated to cultivating and advancing the ever-expanding music community to further establish Nashville's position as the global music capital.

To achieve this, the council is focusing on four areas to improve the city's economic development track record – building the Music City brand and attracting jobs, growing the live music scene, attracting creative talent to Nashville and improving public education music programs.
