Small and entrepreneurial businesses are integral not only to the Nashville region's economy, but also to the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce's membership.
Self-employment levels in the Nashville region are higher than the national average, at 21.6 percent. This high incidence of entrepreneurial businesses is a cornerstone of the Middle Tennessee economy. In addition, nearly 90 percent of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce's membership is comprised of companies with 100 or fewer employees.
The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce champions the growth and development of small business by providing educational resources, advocating for small business in the region, and fostering business development through leadership opportunities, relationships and networking.
