Initial founding of the Chamber The Chamber's first mission statement -- "To encourage and promote the commercial and manufacturing interests of the city, to advertise its diversified advantages, to assist in removing impediments to her progress, to encourage a public spirit which will benefit the city, and to teach that whatever promotes the business interests of one class of citizens is for the benefit of all" -- remains at the heart of the organization's guiding principles today.
 Partnership 2020 The Partnership 2020 (P2020) program was established by the Nashville Area Chamber as the region’s leading economic development initiative for recruiting new businesses to Nashville, including relocating firms and local expansions.
 Nashville Sports Council The Nashville Sports Council is a private, 501(c)6 non-profit, membership-based organization that serves as the "quarterback" behind developing Nashville's sports landscape. It was created as an initiative of the Nashville Area Chamber and became its own organization in 1992.

 YP Nashville YP Nashville is a partnership between the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and young professional organizations working to engage connect and empower young professionals to actively shape the future of the Nashville region.
 E2020 In 2008 the Nashville Area Chamber developed a three-year plan to increase the organization's support for education improvement and reform.
 Music City Music Council The Nashville Chamber worked with Mayor Karl Dean's office to launch the Music City Music Council in 2009. The Council aims to make Nashville the most attractive city in the world for anyone engaged in any kind of music to locate their business.
 Nashville Entrepreneur Center The Nashville Entrepreneur Center launched in 2009 as a result of the Nashville Area Chamber's P2010 Entrepreneurship Task Force. It was established to connect entrepreneurs with critical resources to accelerate business creation and growth.
