"The day we joined the Chamber, we got a call from a prospective client who found our business listed in the Chamber's online business directory. The Builders Exchange of Tennessee subsequently became an important client for us. Hundreds of people use the online directory every day to find a specific service or product, which is why it's so important to be a Chamber member and be on that list!"

Small Business Resources

Small and entrepreneurial businesses are integral not only to the Nashville region's economy, but also to the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce's membership.

Self-employment levels in the Nashville region are higher than the national average, at 21.6 percent. This high incidence of entrepreneurial businesses is a cornerstone of the Middle Tennessee economy. In addition, nearly 90 percent of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce's membership is comprised of companies with 100 or fewer employees.

The Chamber offers a number of programs and services for small businesses, including educational events and a regular e-newsletter geared toward the unique needs of small business owners and managers.
