In addition, this week we learned that Tennessee is one of five states to receive the Gold Shovel Award from Area Development magazine, a publication for economic development professionals. Tennessee earned the award primarily due to our state’s credentials as a manufacturing and logistics hub. The Gold Shovel Awards recognize excellence in state job creation and economic development efforts.
