Flood Resources for Businesses and Residents

Over the weekend, Nashville was hit with record-level rainfall measured at 13.53 inches – more than double the previous two-day record rainfall of 6.68 inches in September 1979. While the skies have cleared, Nashville residents and businesses are now faced with cleaning up the debris and working to get things back to normal. Nashville Mayor Karl Dean and Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen have been monitoring the situation and leading recovery efforts, and both state and local governments have online resources available for those whose homes or businesses have been damaged by the flood.

Debby Dale:  Right now a lot of biz owners are dusting off or drying out their insurance policy.  I am not an insurance guy but as I specialize in business disaster recovery I did a blog yesterday on interpreting the various business interruption insurance policies and how insurance will impact the ability and speed of the business to recover.  Also included some tips. May be helpful to chamber members, it is: http://www.patmosconsulting.com/blog/
