After more than a year of tourist traffic that surpassed expectations, Metro officials will reserve $15 million of excess tax revenues so they can cover land acquisition costs for the Music City Center project if the city loses its appeal of a costly court ruling.
The move should keep the $585 million construction project within its budget, said Metro Finance Director Rich Riebeling, who plans to tell the city’s convention center authority about the plan today.
