The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce announced today that it's launched a new initiative aimed at attracting workers to the region to fill the 1,000 information technology jobs that are available.
George Lazenby, CEO of Emdeon, is heading up the chamber's new IT Recruitment Task Force and has been actively recruiting local business leaders to help him, according to Janet Miller, chief economic development and marketing officer at the chamber.
