Metro Transit Authority is hosting four community meetings on Mayor Karl Dean’s proposed “east-west connector” bus rapid transit line, which would stretch from West End Avenue to downtown Broadway, across the Cumberland River to East Nashville.
The project, which Dean announced in December, is currently in a preliminary design phase. Its ultimate construction, originally estimated to be $136 million, relies on federal grant dollars and a still-unidentified local funding source.
