Disaster plans still missing for many area companies

Though there are no specific numbers that show how well Middle Tennessee businesses are doing with post-flood disaster planning, there are varying statistics on how well businesses are faring nationally and internationally.

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, 43 percent of businesses that experience a major disaster never reopen. Recent surveys have found that over 52 percent of American businesses experienced an interruption or disaster of some kind within the past two years.
