Metro to get additional $22.5M in funds for flood recovery effort

Mayor Karl Dean announced Monday day that Metro will receive an additional $22.5 million in Community Development Block Grant Funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to continue ongoing disaster recovery efforts from the May 2010 flood.

The funds will supplement the $10.7 million in CDBG funds awarded to Nashville in September 2010 to support long-term disaster recovery efforts.
