Roundtables
If you're a company executive, you're involved in making crucial decisions every day. Where do you
turn for advice?
Your Roundtable!
WHAT ARE ROUNDTABLES?
The Chamber's Roundtable program gives company leaders the opportunity to draw upon the expertise and experience of other members to help find solutions to their business problems. Each Roundtable is a confidential forum of executives from non-competing businesses that regularly meets to share and gain practical knowledge and counsel on the challenges and opportunities facing today's businesses. The Roundtables serve as informal boards of advisors to their membership. (Roundtables are NOT leads groups for sales.)
WHAT ROUNDTABLES ARE AVAILABLE?
We offer four choices of Roundtables, including CEO, Marketing, CFO and Manufacturing. Each caters to the needs of executives who have ultimate decision-making authority in their position.
WHY JOIN A ROUNDTABLE?
- Sounding Board - Try out your ideas out on your group, gain honest feedback, validate your strategies, build your business vision and avoid costly mistakes.
- Power Networking - Through your Roundtable group, you will meet other business owners who share your goals, ideas and concerns.
- Unique Learning Experiences - Who better to learn from than those who have been there?
- Staff of Experts - Leaders of small companies seldom have a staff to consult for ideas and
analysis. Your fellow Roundtable members will have wide-ranging skills and experiences. The group will become an invaluable advisory board for you and your company.
- Who's Who - Some of Nashville's most successful small business owners are Roundtable members.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Roundtables are only open to members of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce.
- CEO Roundtables: Intended for the single individual responsible for the direction of the company and with the authority to make the final decision, e.g. CEO, owner, partner, principal, general manager, etc.
- Marketing Roundtables: Intended for the top marketing officer of the organization.
- CFO Roundtables: Intended for the top financial officer of the organization.
- Manufacturing Roundtables: Intended for the single individual responsible for the direction and decision-making of a company within the manufacturing industry.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Roundtables are confidential boards of advisors assisting with business problems, solutions and
opportunities. Roundtables are comprised of 10 to 12 executives from non-competing businesses, and meet regularly at a predetermined date/time. All groups are autonomous with respect to issues, location, meeting day and time, direction and content and meeting agendas. Roundtables can add new members throughout the year.
WHAT IS REQUIRED?
Because openness and active participation at the regular meetings are critical to Roundtable success,
members must agree to attend at least 80 percent of all meetings and pay an annual membership fee of $200. (Members are billed after joining a group.) Half of the membership fees are managed by each Roundtable, supporting member activities; the remaining half covers administrative costs of the program.
HOW DO I APPLY?
