With Nashville’s current boomtown status, it’s no surprise that our region’s affordability, quality of life and strong economy are propelling us to the top of national rankings. Here are a few recent standouts.

Best Big Cities for Jobs 2016
Forbes researchers ranked all 421 U.S. MSAs based on employment data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics from 2004 through 2015 to determine the top cities for job growth. Nashville ranked fourth.

Top Cities for Startup Growth
Nashville was named one of the top cities for startup growth, ranking No. 5 in a 2016 Kauffman report, ahead of San Francisco and Boston. Nashville stood out in business products and services and health care, ranking No. 1 in both categories for high growth.

Top Cities for Creatives
Using job data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and cost-of-living information from the Council for Community and Economic Research, financial research website SmartAsset ranked the top 10 U.S. cities for creative workers. Nashville comes in ninth. This is the second year SmartAsset has conducted this research; Nashville also ranked in their 2015 list.

Top Cities for Recent College Graduates
The new Graduate Opportunity Index, compiled by Trulia in partnership with LinkedIn, rates 40 of America’s strongest job markets based on what they have to offer recent college grads. The Nashville metro comes in seventh.

Best Cities for Young Workers
In a new report, Credit Sesame identified the top 25 “18-hour cities” and then ranked the top 10 based on five factors: median household income, median rent price, unemployment rate, average student loan balance, and average credit card balance. Nashville placed fifth.
