The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, along with partners Nashville Entrepreneur Center, Pathway Women’s Business Center and Refinery Nashville, are excited to announce that, after a competitive application process, 15 businesses have been selected to participate in ScaleUp Nashville’s third cohort beginning Tuesday, Sept. 13.
ScaleUp Nashville is a six-month program funded by the Small Business Administration that assists growth-oriented small businesses as they grow revenue, build staff and expand services. Each small business owner will attend a 12-week curriculum, receive data-driven market research and opportunities to build and strengthen networks, connect with a mentor and receive a financial analysis to best determine what capital and funding is needed for success.
The program is provided at no cost to the businesses accepted. However, participants agree to ongoing program accountability and reporting, six months of regular attendance, and continued involvement with the program through mentorship, event attendance or other support.
Nashville is one of only 15 communities in the country to be awarded funding to implement the SBA’s ScaleUp America initiative. The Chamber launched ScaleUp Nashville in January 2016.
