Two Metro Nashville magnet schools made the top 100 on Newsweek's list of the nation's best high schools, released earlier this summer. Hume-Fogg Academic Magnet High School was highest at 32, and Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet High placed 56th — the only two state schools to crack the top 100. Hillsboro High came in at 871.
