Nashville Health Care Council

Founded in 1995 as a program of the Nashville Chamber's Partnership 2010 initiative, the Nashville Health Care Council is an association of health care industry leaders working together to further establish Nashville's position as the nation's health care capital. The Council fosters the continued growth of Nashville's health care industry by creating a supportive operating environment for existing, start-up and relocating health care businesses. The Council also provides executives with information on operational and policy challenges facing health care companies, as well as networking and mentoring opportunities.

Nashville Technology Council, launched in September 1999, is a 501(c)(6) non-profit professional association dedicated to promoting the growth of technology businesses throughout the greater Nashville region by bringing together leaders in business, academic, government and non-profit sectors. The Council provides programs in areas such as venture financing, technology marketing and protecting intellectual property, among others. It also serves as a networking point for area technology people to connect with one another and share challenges and solutions.

The Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau operates under a contract with Metro Government to establish Nashville as an international meeting and leisure destination. The bureau provides Nashville businesses with a direct link to the lucrative tourism industry and works with journalists, media planners and the travel industry to attract visitors, conventions and meetings to the Nashville area. Through the bureau's efforts, 9 million people visit Davidson County annually and contribute $2 billion to the local economy.
