Music City Future 50 winners announced
Sixteen years of honoring the 50 fastest-growing companies

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Rapid growth, record revenues -- these are the key characteristics of the companies being recognized in the 2007 Music City Future 50 Awards. As part of its ongoing strategic efforts to support entrepreneurial growth, the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the winners for the 16th year of this awards program. Future 50 winners are the fastest-growing, privately owned companies in the region, and cover industries from technology to food products.
To be eligible, companies must be headquartered in Middle Tennessee, have at least 10 employees or annual revenues of at least $500,000, and anticipate revenue and employment growth of 10 percent or more per year for the next three years. The nominations are collected by the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and tabulated by KraftCPAs, the official accounting firm of the Music City Future 50.
"Future 50 companies represent the growing and entrepreneurial environment the Nashville region has come to embody," said Michael Carter, president & CEO of Athena Health Club and Day Spa and vice chairman of small business for the Chamber. "These companies are important contributors to the vitality of the Middle Tennessee area, and it is an extremely important priority of the Chamber to recognize their contributions to our community."
Companies named five-time Future 50 winners are inducted into the Future 50 Hall of Fame. This year, Cybera, Inc, Nashville Bun Company and The Rehab Documentation Company, Inc. were inducted into the Hall of Fame. Cybera, Inc. is an industry leader in providing secure networks to retail outlets, restaurants, convenience stores, health care and financial services with multiple site locations. Nashville Bun Company is a fast-growing baked goods manufacturer, shipping more than six million dozen English muffins and more than seven million dozen hearth products each year, as well as expanding yearly into new customer territories. The Rehab Documentation Company, Inc. is a leader in point of care documentation software for the rehab industry.
An awards dinner honoring the 2007 Music City Future 50 will be held Tuesday, Sept. 18, at the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs, 700 Cool Springs Blvd.
