The Chamber’s purpose is to facilitate community leadership to create economic prosperity. Our Metro government legislative agenda helps fulfill this purpose by focusing on the following priorities:
- Creating an environment where businesses can prosper
- Talent development of our region’s workforce
- Quality of life that attracts and retains residents
One of our most important roles is to be an advocate on behalf of the business community on issues that have the potential to affect our business environment and quality of place. Every year, we produce a Metro legislative agenda to track local legislators’ actions on these issues. This year, our top priorities include affordable housing, regional mass transit and property rights.
