Partnership 2020 Ends First Year of 5-Year Regional Economic Development Strategy


Partnership 2020, the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce’s regional economic development initiative, ended the first of its 5-year strategy last week on a high note. We want to congratulate our P2020 Investors on their hard work and dedication to advancing our region's livability, attracting high quality talent and encouraging businesses to expand and relocate to Middle Tennessee.

Mohawk Industries creating 245 new jobs in Dickson

After attaining a significant production milestone and opening a new customer experience center within its state-of-the-art ceramic tile manufacturing plant in Dickson earlier in 2017, Mohawk Industries announced the world’s leading flooring manufacturer will expand manufacturing operations. Mohawk will add a second plant near its recently built Dickson tile factory. The second plant in Dickson will add 245 jobs at full capacity and is scheduled to begin operations in late 2018. Read More

HYLA Inc. relocating to Rutherford County

HYLA, Inc. officials announced that the company will open a new facility in La Vergne. The specialized mobile device reverse logistics technology and services provider will invest more than $1 million and create approximately 225 new jobs in Rutherford County. HYLA works closely with Fortune 100 companies, including the largest mobile service providers, mobile device manufacturers and technology retailers. HYLA provides technology and expertise that powers the collection, processing, renewal and distribution of previously owned mobile devices. Read More

Valeo North America, Inc. investing $25 million in Smyrna

Valeo North America, Inc. officials announced the company will expand its operations in Smyrna, adding 130,000 square feet to provide space for new equipment. The automotive supplier will invest $25 million and create 80 new jobs in Rutherford County.The company will increase volume of existing product offerings and also add new product lines. Manufacturing at this location will include front-end modules, active grill shutters, and in the future, HVAC products. Read More

Triton Construction expanding in Rutherford County

Leader in the gas pipeline and fabrication industry, Triton Construction, Inc. announced plans for a 13,000-square-foot expansion, representing a $2.2 million investment. The company fabricates and installs pipe, meter stations and regulator stations for clients that range from large natural gas distributors to local utility companies. The addition to its existing location in Rockvale will support the company’s growth and creation of 25 new specialized jobs in their fabrication department. Read More
