Nashville economic development driving growth in real estate, relocation services
Business relocations and expansions are contributing to the continuing boom in Nashville real estate agents, listings and prices.
In June of 2018, Nashville Public Radio reported that the Nashville’s median home price was approaching $300,000. Of course, most of these single-family homes don’t hold a candle to the 25 most expensive homes in Nashville, but the increase in price is certainly helping Nashville real estate agents.
At least a portion of this real estate boom is due to the business expansions and relocations that have recently been announced. With many businesses relocating to Nashville, relocation services have also been growing in popularity. In fact, the employee relocation services industry has grown by nearly 5% in the United States overall since 2012.
Corporations that relocate employees on a regular basis may have human resources staff dedicated to helping employees settle into a new place, whether domestically or overseas. But a growing number of real estate agents are offering relocation services as well.
Relocation services can include:
- Research into neighborhoods for demographic data, crime rates, cost of living, etc.
- Finding neighborhoods with good schools
- Selling assistance
- Moving services
- Temporary housing
- Mortgage assistance
- Newcomer information
