Meet Triumph Hospitality, a fast growing leader in the hospitality industry as a hotel ownership, development, and management company. Founded in 2008, their hotel portfolio includes five properties spread across Tennessee and Louisiana. They also have several new properties under construction and in the pipeline for development as part of their continued growth.

Watch and read about how this local small business is opening safely and smartly in a video interview Michelle Marina, General Manager at Holiday Inn and Katie Schultz, Regional Director of Sales at Triumph Hospitality.

Q: Who is Triumph Hospitality and what should we know about you?

Triumph Hospitality is a hotel management and development company based in Nashville. Our vision is “Creating everlasting memories: One guest at a time!” Triumph Hospitality currently operates three hotels in Nashville: Holiday Inn Express & Suites Antioch, Hampton Inn Antioch, and Glo by Best Western Nashville Airport. We also manage two other hotels in Tennessee and three in Louisiana. Our team loves Nashville and we are so proud to call this wonderful city our home. Triumph Hospitality has several new projects in development in the area, and we look forward to being part of this city’s tremendous growth.

Q: What has been the most valuable part about being a member of the Chamber?

Chamber membership helps us stay in touch with the business community. We typically enjoy attending meetings in our Southeast Region and city-wide social events to network. We are looking forward to seeing the smiling faces of our fellow business owners soon! The Monday Morning report from the Chamber is also a great help! We use this information to stay up to date on Nashville happenings and to reach out to new Chamber members who may become future partners for our business.

Q: What is your business doing to reopen safely?

We are fortunate to say that we never had to close any of our hotels. We did make serious cuts backs in March and April to sustain our hotels through this slow period. Business is still much slower than we would like, but we have been able to welcome back most of our team members at this point. Our hotels are doing a fabulous job adapting to the new cleaning protocols. Each hotel brand has their own specific program to follow, but they are all built on the same standards set by the American Hotel and Lodging Association in their “Safe Stay” protocols. Guest rooms and public areas are being cleaned with hospital grade disinfectant numerous times throughout the day. All decorative and unnecessary items have been removed from the rooms as well. Staff are wearing masks and gloves. Shields have been installed at the front desks. Breakfast items are individually wrapped. No Contact check in is encouraged by downloading the hotels aps. Our Meeting rooms are open under new guidelines to ensure social distancing between attendees. We are doing our best to adapt to an everchanging situation. Feedback from our employees and guests is crucial, we strive to provide a safe and comfortable environment for everyone who walks through our doors!

Q: Do you have any special offers to tell guests?

Each hotel is offering slightly different specials for guest rooms and event space rentals. Bottom line, we want to earn your business! Please reach out to the sales department for special rates on groups and events. Anyone looking to book a staycation can find great rates on our websites.

Q: What would you tell a guest who is wanting to come visit?

This is a scary time to travel and we certainly understand the hesitation. We want to encourage both out of town visitors and locals that our hotels are clean and safe to visit. Nashville has countless outdoor activities and attractions that can be enjoyed while observing social distancing. Visitors will need to modify their plans slightly, but they can still have a fantastic time in Nashville! Just remember to pack your mask.

Q: Since the pandemic began, what has been your favorite place to visit or your favorite activity?

We certainly miss the hustle and bustle of Nashville life. Our team could typically be found enjoying a Preds game at Bridgestone or watching our children play in a soccer tournament. The past few months have looked a lot different. This has been a time for us to spend more time outdoors, try out new recipes in our home kitchens, and catch up with our loyal clients. We miss our regular guests dearly and look forward to seeing them again, hopefully soon!
