“Our goal for 2021 is to play a critical role in the recuperation and healing of companies and those they serve through assisting with re-entry plans, remote workforce analyses and real estate strategy.”

Q: Who is Baskin Strategies and what should we know about you?

We believed in the value working remotely, before working remotely was the norm. Baskin Strategies is a boutique consulting firm with a tried-and-true unique approach to implementing employee flexibility, modernizing policies, creating necessary performance metrics and collaborative workspaces to increase workforce productivity, create cost savings and reduce square footage needs across owned and leased facilities. I used to say, “Work is what you do, not where you are,” and boy is that true!

Q: What has been the most valuable aspect of your Chamber membership?

The Chamber has provided us with an avenue to stay connected at a time when connectivity was a challenge. We have participated in options for virtual connectivity and have enjoyed the learning sessions and thought leadership provided thus far.

Q: What’s your biggest goal for your company in the next year?

Our goal for 2021 is to play a critical role in the recuperation and healing of companies and those they serve through assisting with re-entry plans, remote workforce analyses and real estate strategy. We will continue supporting those businesses bouncing back from the pandemic, placing them in their best position to succeed in the years ahead.

Q: What best business practices have you learned from 2020 and what did you do to be creative or pivot to remain in business?

Baskin Strategies was in a unique position going into 2020… After all, we had been encouraging Work from Home (for the appropriate job positions of course,) increased mobility for employees, flexibility with work schedule and reduced real estate to save cost for years. We blinked an eye and suddenly the world agreed with us. Our silver lining in 2020 was solidifying that our approach to how employees can and should work is spot on. Our pivot has been learning to connect to companies virtually rather than in person to communicate our services in a world where they are needed more than ever.
