Q: Who is "R+R Wellness" and what should we know about you?

Paying homage to the charming culture of Nashville Yards and its railroad region, R+R stands for Recharge and Replenish. Amidst the vibrant energy of Music City, our luxury spa serves as a perfectly timed invitation to slow down and breathe in the moment.

Q: What's the best thing about doing business in Middle Tennessee?

Personally, I love the magical combination of Southern hospitality meeting modern cosmopolitan feel as well as the vibe of doing business in the heart of our ever-changing, ever-growing Music City.

For R+R Wellness, I think Middle Tennessee was searching for business like ours to fulfill an unmet need - an extremely unique and personalized spa experience that’s approachable.

Doing business in a capital city that also thrives on leisure tourism is amazing. R+R serves guests in town for a variety of unique reasons from business at the Capitol and bank meetings to fun getaways such as bachelorette parties, weddings, family vacations - you name it! Connecting with our Middle Tennessee and Nashville Natives alongside guests travelling in from far and wide is a really fun experience.

Q: What has been the most valuable aspect of your Chamber membership?

The opportunity to network and build relationships with other business leaders in Nashville is extremely valuable. As part of the newest hotel opening and being a new resident of the community myself, the Chamber does a fantastic job orienting members to all the ways I can get involved for the business and engaged personally.

Q: How do you stay involved in the community?

Since R+R Wellness opened along with Grand Hyatt in October 2020, we’ve joined several associations like the Greater Nashville Apartment Association, Nashville Chamber of Commerce, Nashville City Club, and Tennessee Hospitality & Tourism Association, to get more involved in the greater-Nashville community.

We’ve also hosted a few events in an effort to welcome Nashville business leaders and residents so they’re able to see our spa not only as a new business but a place where the community can gather, send clients, friends and family… and serve as their go-to spa! As local events and charitable functions continue to re-emerge, we look forward to getting involved in this way as well.

Q: What's your biggest goal for your company in the next year?

The goal of R+R Wellness Spa is to ascend the typical spa experience and strive to be the go-to destination for the community for all things wellness - mind, body, and spirit.

R+R is a place for someone to receive a regularly occurring treatment, treat themselves for a special occasion, or enjoy just because it’s Tuesday. It’s a unique place to gather with loved ones for a one-of-a-kind Nashville retreat. Our location provides an amazing stay-cation experience for a spa day, where you’re able to receive treatments in the spa, grab lunch at the restaurant in the Grand Hyatt Nashville, enjoy the pool deck, and unwind at LouNa rooftop lounge.

Our goal in the next year is to be the spa that all our Nashville residents choose and call home!

Q: What best business practices have you learned from 2020 and what did you do to be creative or pivot to remain in business?

It’s no secret that 2020 brought plenty of highs and lows - especially in our industry - so I learned that you have to be nimble and willing to pivot on a moment’s notice.

In light of everything happening, we were able to revitalize our approach and streamline processes to ensure a satisfying spa experience for all guests. We implemented elevated sanitation protocols to ensure the health and safety of our guests, we also introduced a new online platform to reduce unnecessary contact and provide a simple, streamlined experience for our spa guests and providers, finally we implemented staggered scheduling so each guest could have a calming experience, that was safely distanced and without distractions.

Another element we’re extremely proud of is the new and innovative technology that’s being developed by one of our sister brands in reaction to the challenges our industry has experienced in 2020.

Spa Space, launching in April, offers a turnkey technology solution that will revolutionize spa management for today’s world. Spa Space’s algorithm matches guest preferences to expert therapists and unlocks access to available treatment rooms across multiple spa locations. It’s currently in beta testing, and early results show that Spa Space has delivered a 60% reduction in fixed operating expenses.
