RECAP: Academies of Nashville Partnership Council

Thanks to the support of the Academies of Nashville Partnership Council, MNPS high school students have the opportunity to engage in meaningful experiential learning opportunities with a variety of industries. With the addition of a new performing arts academy, students can pick from five industries ranging from hospitality and tourism to health and public service. Once they've selected an industry pathway, MNPS academy students are paired with industry experts and given a firsthand experience of what it's like to work in that industry. The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce supports the Academies of Nashville by facilitating partnerships between business leaders and MNPS.

At the Partnership Council's most recent meeting, industry leaders and MNPS teachers gathered to discuss various internship paths and find new ways to prepare graduating MNPS students to obtain high-wage, high-demand jobs in the Nashville-area.
