NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Alongside more than 500 employees, former employees and community leaders and officials, Genesco Inc. commemorated 100 years of business and giving back to the community at a celebration held at its Nashville headquarters today.
The celebration and employee appreciation luncheon featured speakers including Genesco Board Chair, President and CEO Mimi Vaughn and community leaders such as:
•Allen Borden, Deputy Commissioner of Business Development at the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development
•Jamari Brown, Senior Director of Economic and Community Development at Metro Government of Nashville and Davidson County
•Ralph Schulz, President and CEO of Nashville’s Chamber of Commerce
•Erica Mitchell, CEO of the United Way of Greater Nashville.
“100 years is incredible and a result of our amazing employees working with tenacity, grit and resilience, and being relevant to today’s customer. We are constantly reinventing ourselves,” said Genesco Board Chair, President and CEO, Mimi Vaughn.
Genesco is the longest listed New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) company in Nashville, second longest listed company in Tennessee and 68th longest listed company on the entire NYSE.
