The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce hosted another successful Intro Nashville program session earlier this month! Aimed at both newcomers and native Nashvillians to gain a highly curated, behind-the-scenes look into our region, the Chamber’s Intro Nashville program includes a treasure trove of information for residents of Middle Tennessee. Program participants enjoy meaningful conversation with “storytellers”—dynamic speakers and experts in their fields.
Three half days of programming touch on all the unique characteristics of our region. The first day, titled ‚”It” City?, explored our local economy by featuring leaders from a wide range of key industries, including music and entertainment, hospitality and tourism, healthcare, manufacturing, and the finance industry. This day was graciously hosted by Vanderbilt University and the Convention and Visitor Corp.
The second day, Athens of the South, started at Hastings Architecture, previously home to the Nashville Public Library. Participants discussed our region’s education continuum and workforce. This was followed by a stop at the Nashville Ballet to discuss state, regional, and metro government with local leaders.
This was followed by day three: Find Your Rhythm in Music City. The participants met at the National Museum of African American Music to discuss our local culinary scene, community involvement, and cultural diversity. The day closed with a visit to the Mechanical Licensing Collective to learn more about our region’s sports landscape.
The program concluded with a closing reception featuring Former Nashville Mayor Bill Purcell. Mayor Purcell discussed pivotal moments in Nashville’s history and highlighted various landmarks that make our city special.
Registration is currently open for the program sessions in June and August. Participant acceptance is on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Intro Nashville program would not be possible without the gracious backing of our Supporting Sponsors: Amazon, LBMC, Lightning100 and Made in TN. We would also like to thank Intro Nashville’s Corporate Sponsors: Fifth Third Bank, The Ashton Real Estate Group, Polsinelli, and Wilson Bank & Trust for ensuring that we can continue to offer high-quality programming for the region’s business community.
