Position Description / Responsibilities
The Agency Benefits Coordinator (ABC) is a member of the TennCare Human Resources team and reports directly to Human Resources Manager. The ABC is responsible for processing all benefit requests on behalf of a new hire or current employee of the agency. The ABC will administer Family Medical Leave Act entitlements for employees that meet the qualifications, assist with Parental Leave, Special Leave, Sick Leave Bank and Workers Compensation associated with on the job injuries. They will serve as a Liaison of the agency with other State agency’s such as Benefits Administration, Department of Human Resources and Dept of Treasury/Risk Management division.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree AND experience equivalent to three years of increasingly responsible full-time professional staff administrative experience.
- Substitution of Experience for Education: Qualifying full-time increasingly responsible sub professional, paraprofessional, or professional experience may be substituted for the required education, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of four years.
- Two years of increasingly responsible professional administrative services experience with the State of Tennessee.
