Skills & Requirements
- This is an on-site position in Nashville, TN
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the Director of Finance
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or business college is preferred.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
- Hospitality Industry experience is a MUST
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be proficient in Opera property management system.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and hotel-specific systems.
- Service and detail-oriented, approachable demeanor with a can-do attitude
Duties:
- Monthly bank account reconciliations
- Balance sheet account reconciliations
- Ensure all revenue is properly accounted for. Produce daily revenue report. Interact with night audit team as needed.
- Ensure daily credit card transactions are processed correctly.
- Oversee general cashier and the proper cash handling and bank deposits.
- Support Group Billing Coordinator including vacation coverage.
- Supervise accounts payable, including weekly check runs, review expenses of the business.
- Produce weekly payroll reports and review schedules compared to budget & forecast.
- Heavy involvement with month-end closing – including preparation of journal entries. Some extra hours many be required and the ability to meet deadlines is expected.
- Review physical inventories
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the Director of Finance
