Position Description / Responsibilities

Under general direction, of commercial development management, coordinates commercial development and other property management/development activities for the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority. 

Responsible for coordinating various activities relating to the commercial development functions such as the leasing and inspection of airport property, including but not limited to preparing a variety of agreements and leases, procurement, maintaining favorable business partner relations, verifying compliance according to terms, conditions, and established Authority practices of the agreements and leases, and research relative to the department. Periodically will conduct inspections, evaluations and monitor airport leaseholds and facilities to ensure compliance with terms and conditions contained in leases and agreements and established Authority practices.

Routinely shows available property or space to prospective business partners. Resolves day-to-day business partner issues independently and routinely will coordinate with other internal departments or business partners to provide resolutions. Prepares correspondence, documentation, reports, and coordinates necessary adjustments to agreements. 

Required to accurately interpret and analyze airport agreements and documents. May prepare leases, amendments, permits, lease and financial analysis for review and other documents; conducts industry surveys; responds to general requests regarding airport leases and properties. Maintains accurate records of all leases and agreements; identifies agreement dates, and monitors operations, prepares reports, follows-up for compliance to all agreements, terms, and conditions, e.g. security deposits, bonds, insurance, required business partner reports, and construction deadlines.

Position Requirements

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college curriculum in business administration, aviation, or airport management. Knowledge of the principles and practices of general office management familiarity with the operation of a modern airport. At least two (2) years of related experience with a strong emphasis in dealing with the general public and/or airports preferred.
