Position Description / Responsibilities
Performs all duties of paying and receiving teller. Balances vault on regular basis. Performs branch capture duties. Must be capable of utilizing various electronic devices to set up new accounts. Must be familiar with various electronic delivery channels to coach customers in use of online banking, mobile applications and ATM. Practices sales and service strategies designed to retain existing relationships and enable growth of new relationships and actively participates in follow-up strategies; responsible for promotion of bank sales and customer onboarding process through CRM. Actively participates in school bank program which requires arriving at schools earlier than normal work time. Stays abreast of changes/updates to bank products and policies ensuring the accuracy of information provided to customers. Assists customers in a professional manner and performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. Will be required to work Saturdays on a rotating basis and be involved in local community events. Adheres to compliance with all federal bank regulations and laws, including those for consumer protection and the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Program.
Previous teller and/or new accounts experience a plus. AS400, ten-key calculator, cash handling and customer service experience is helpful. Must have the ability to handle a heavy work flow of customers and deal with them in a courteous and professional manner in person or by telephone. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and multi task.
