Position Description / Responsibilities

Monthly Salary Range: $3,366- $5,384

 

Job Overview: The Tennessee Department of Revenue is seeking to hire an Administrative Services Assistant 5 to function as the County Clerk Communications Coordinator in the Department’s Vehicle Services division. The ideal candidate for this position will be a driven, resourceful and team-minded individual.

 

Key Responsibilities:

§  Generating new content and editing existing content for internal/external process guides, website, letters, forms and publications while ensuring adherence to state laws and departmental procedures, with a focus on providing clear and concise information

§  Responding to inquiries from external and internal customers

§  Collecting and analyzing customer feedback and providing suggestions for developing practices aimed at improving the overall customer experience  

§  Providing assistance with various special projects as needed

§  Supervising a minimum of one employee, handling time/leave approvals and performance management

§  Creating and giving meeting presentations, organizing meeting materials and preparing/implementing follow-up tasks

§  Traveling to county offices to provide direct support in an effort to foster relationships with County Clerks


Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

§  Bachelor's degree preferred

§  Supervisory experience preferred

§  Excellent verbal, written, and presentation abilities

§  Experience with public speaking preferred

§  Ability to manage multiple projects at one time

§  Ability to focus on critical issues to balance and respond to competing priorities

§  Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others to accomplish goals

§  Ability to travel, including periodic overnight stays

§  Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
