Position Description / Responsibilities

The Tennessee State Museum is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and energetic team member to join the Education and Community Engagement team as its Children’s Gallery/Family Programming Coordinator.  The desired candidate will demonstrate an ability to create fun, engaging, and educational family programs in the new Children’s gallery at the Tennessee State Museum as well as assist in the implementation of all other public programming functions of the museum. 

 

This position will directly report to the Community Engagement Manager and is responsible for assisting in the creation, planning, and implementation of all community engagement programs including but not limited to family and children’s programs, homeschool days, story times, festivals, workshops, and adult lectures both on and off-site. 


Position Requirements

This position will directly report to the Community Engagement Manager and is responsible for assisting in the creation, planning, and implementation of all community engagement programs including but not limited to family and children’s programs, homeschool days, story times, festivals, workshops, and adult lectures both on and off-site. 

 

Preferred skills for this position include the coordination of events, programs, festivals, as well as expertise in early childhood education.
