Position Description / Responsibilities

Eat Well Nashville is a local meal delivery service bringing healthy and affordable restaurant-quality meals right to your door! Each chef-prepared meal we offer is fully-cooked and ready to heat and eat, so you can worry about what’s important to you, instead of spending countless hours each week shopping for, preparing, or cooking food — or doing dishes.
DAY TO DAY:
Prepare all menu items consistently with responsibilities including, but not limited to:
Following recipe cards and production / portion standards
Preparing food items ahead of time when needed, being sure to not over-prepare
Dating all food containers and rotating as per Eat Well Nashville standards, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures
Checking pars for shift use; determining necessary preparation. Noting any out of stock items or possible shortages.
Returning all food items not used to designated storage areas, being sure to cover/date all perishables
Assisting in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems, control food waste, loss and usage per Eat Well Nashville standards
Operating, maintaining, and properly cleaning grill, blast chiller, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, tilt kettle, freezer, walk-in cooler, floors, walls, and ceilings
Lifting, grasping, and/or carrying goods weighing a maximum of 75 pounds on a continuous schedule
Maintaining a professional and safe work environment for co-workers and guests
