Position Description / Responsibilities

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President (AVP), Public Safety – Chief of Police, will conduct all departmental investigation matters as directed while also evaluating any complaints received - both internal and external. Acts as CALEA back-up in the absence of the Department of Public Safety's Accreditation Specialist and will assist with all other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Required:

Bachelors degree in related field of study (i.e. Criminal Justice, Business Administration or Public Administration).
4-7 years experience at the supervisory level equivalent to a Sergeant
2-4 years experience involving criminal investigations or experience in internal affairs investigations

Preferred:

Graduate Degree (Master’s, or Doctorate of Jurisprudence)
Leadership training
