Position Description / Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the Regional Medical Director for the Mid-Cumberland Region of the Tennessee Department of Health, the Physician serves as a primary care provider in the Dickson County Health Department, based in Dickson, TN with an additional site in White Bluff, TN.
The Physician is responsible for clinical duties of considerable difficulty, precepting advanced practice nurses and performing related work as required. Duties include examining patients, diagnosing illness and developing and implementing plans of care including preventive care.
Essential competencies include analytical skills, problem solving, communication and adaptability.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will hold a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree and be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Medical licensure in the State of Tennessee is required. Experience with electronic medical records systems strongly preferred.
