Position Description / Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY 

The Tornado Relief Coordinator will oversee long term in-kind and monetary relief efforts for East and North Nashville communities affected by the recent tornado. This is a temporary position, 30 hours per week, up to six months.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Overall project management of MOBC Tornado Recovery efforts, including collaboration with other long term recovery sites.
• Works with our social work team to meet the needs of the impacted families.
• Coordinates receiving and distributing of in-kind and monetary donations specific to tornado recovery.
• Oversees and designates work of tornado recovery volunteers.
• Provides direct disaster case management services, including intake, needs assessment, and disaster recovery information and referrals. 
• Maintains documentation related to tornado recovery efforts, including client and donor information.

Education and Experience: 
• One or more years of related experience.
