Position Description / Responsibilities
Nashville Public Television seeks a talented graphic designer with experience in all social media platforms to execute NPT’s graphic design and visual branding campaigns for print, web and social media. This position will be responsible for creating graphics for print, broadcast and online promotion as well as fundraising and special event initiatives. The Visual Designer will also edit short promotional and branding videos for broadcast and social media. The position will be a contributor to NPT’s overall social media strategy, working with the digital team to develop and implement social media campaigns to build NPT’s digital presence. The ideal candidate will have a strong graphic design background and will be skilled in all platforms of digital communications. Experience with video production and editing for the web and social media is preferred. A strong understanding of analytics is preferred and a background in coding and experience working with CMS frameworks is a plus.
3+ years of experience working with digital communications and graphic design and a solid track record of successful online communications strategies are required. Skill in Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator is required. Experience with Premiere Pro and After Effects is a plus. The ability to work nights and weekends on occasion is a requirement of this position. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
