Based on a survey of more than 100 economic development organizations from around the country, the Nashville Area Chamber announced more jobs than any other organization in 2015.

Denver-based Atlas Advertising collected data from more than 100 economic development organizations in their 2015 High-Performance Economic Development benchmarking survey, which included organization-specific information such as location, population, annual budget, and number of full-time economic development staff. Key metrics garnered from each organization included jobs announced, website visits received, number of organizations serviced (or inquiries generated), and capital invested announced over a 12-month period.

Over the 2015 survey period, the 10-county economic region served by the Nashville Area Chamber announced more than 16,000 new jobs that resulted in more than $2.9 billion in capital invested in Middle Tennessee.

Atlas Advertising’s annual benchmarking survey provides an important tool for the Nashville Chamber to gauge the results of our economic development efforts against those of similar organizations. It is helpful to compare our metrics on website views and number of companies served to ensure that we are staying competitive with our marketing and promotion efforts.
