Made in TN to Open 12South Retail Location

Third Nashville-area shop helps local retailer further promote Tennessee maker community

NASHVILLE — Made in TN, a Nashville-based retailer curating the best Tennessee-made goods, will soon open doors on its third brick-and-mortar location at 2905 12th Ave. S. unit 102. Located in the popular 12South district, this means fans of local brands such as Olive & Sinclair, Ranger Station and Music City Suds have one more convenient spot to shop their favorite foods, gifts and souvenirs.

Founders Sarah and Ilex Pounders began Made in TN in 2016 to spotlight and support Tennessee makers, artisan products and specialty brands. Their wide selection of products represents some of the more iconic brands in the state as well as lesser-known quality makers.

‚”As long-time residents of Nashville ourselves, we have watched the 12South neighborhood grow, and we always enjoy spending time here as a family,” said Made in TN founder Sarah Pounders. ‚”We are excited to bring the best locally made goods to one convenient location in the heart of an area we know both locals and visitors alike spend so much time. We believe it will allow us to further our mission of identifying, promoting and supporting the growth of Tennessee-made brands while making it easy and fun to shop local in 12South.”

Made in TN’s partners, including the iconic Southern heritage candy brand Goo Goo Cluster, also appreciate this move. “Being a local brand that has been around for over a century thanks in part to our retail partners, we are excited to see the growth of our friends at Made in TN,” said Beth Sachan, vice president of sales and marketing at Goo Goo Cluster. “The love that Made in TN shows to local businesses offers great exposure, and their strategic expansion to 12South will help all the brands they carry reach more shoppers. This is a smart move on their part that really benefits us and all the other Tennessee brands they carry, and we can’t wait to celebrate their continued success.”

The new 700-square-foot Made in TN retail shop in 12 South will be between Fryce Cream and Burger Up. A grand opening is anticipated to be announced this spring, and Made in TN will be hiring an additional 3-5 sales associates for the location. Interested applicants are encouraged to email a resume and cover letter to retail@shopmadeintn.com.
