Partnership 2030
Partnership 2030 is the Nashville region’s public-private initiative dedicated to Middle Tennessee’s long-term economic prosperity. Since 1990, the Partnership has led this strategy to maintain and grow the Nashville region’s economy by creating jobs through relocating and expanding businesses, building a talented and creative workforce, and promoting a high quality of life for all. P2030 is supported by over 250 business and community investors dedicated to the success of the Nashville region. The current five-year plan is co-chaired by Carol Yochem, President, First Horizon Bank Middle Tennessee Region and Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County Mayor Freddie O’Connell.

From the beginning of Partnership in 1990, regional collaboration has been a key focus. A regional approach maintains competitiveness and ensures our success. We regularly meet with our regional economic development partners, mayors, and business leaders to collaborate on the needs of our 10-county Nashville economic market.

Do I have to be a Chamber member first?
Yes, Partnership 2030 is an additional investment on top of your Chamber membership. Out of our 2,000 Chamber members, nearly 250 organizations are also investing in this important, regional economic development initiative. If you aren’t already a Chamber member, we’ll be happy to get you started as both a Chamber member and Partnership 2030 Investor.
Why does the Partnership exist and what is my investment used for?
Your investment supports the future prosperity of the Nashville region through an intentional plan driven by nearly 250 private and public partners. The Partnership was formed in 1990 by the leadership in our community to maintain and grow the Nashville region’s economy by creating jobs through relocating and expanding businesses, attracting a talented and creative workforce, developing and promoting quality of place and livability, and collaborating across the 10-county economic market.

We are avid supporters of the rising tide lifts all boats theory. We need everyone’s voice at the table. From its inception, Partnership has been a community driven initiative. Has the Partnership been successful?
Since 1990:
- More than 569,000 new jobs have been created by the expansion and relocation of companies to the Nashville region.
- The Partnership has played a key role in the relocation of more than 1,075 companies to the Nashville region including Amazon, Dell, Meta, Lowe’s, Nissan North America, NTT Data, AllianceBernstein, Mitsubishi Motors, iHeartMedia, the ICEE Company, Philips, Hankook, Gutterglove, Beretta, Asurion, Louisiana-Pacific, In-N-Out Burger, and many others.
- Partnership staff provided project management assistance resulting in more than 2,100 company expansions, including Bridgestone, UBS, HCA, A.O. Smith Corp., Warner Music, Hankook Tire, Community Health Systems, Gap, Mars Petcare, Permobil, General Motors, Macy’s, and more.
- The per capita income of the Nashville region has grown more than 276 percent.
- Population in the region has grown more than 88 percent with over 2 million residents today.
- Initiatives launched by the Partnership have proven to be a strong, positive force in raising the quality of the region’s workforce and educational attainment continuing to help Tennessee improve its national rankings.
