On August 4, Tennessee College of Applied Technology Nashville, in partnership with Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS), hosted their first Career and Technical Education Annual In-Service. Over 165 participants attended this event and had the opportunity to hear the Nashville Area Chamber research team, Bishoy Mikhail, Victor Sanchez, and Jeffrey Burris, provide our teachers with labor force data.

“Jeffrey and Victor from the Chamber Research team did a great job presenting important data regarding labor market trends. The data shared was impactful and well received by the teachers in attendance. We hope that this data will help to inform teachers in the critical work of guiding Nashville students to the pathways that give them the greatest chance of success.” (Bishoy Mikhail, Vice President of Research)

“To support these efforts TCAT Nashville has received funds to hire a full-time dual enrollment coordinator. This position is supported by the New Skills Ready grant administered by the Nashville Chamber. Another HUGE win for this effort and a big THANK YOU to all partners involved with this grant.” (Nathan Garrett, TCAT Nashville President)

We are excited to celebrate the value of CTE and its achievements!
