Despite the obstacles presented by 2020, data in this report highlights strengths and opportunities that exist as part of the economic and labor force landscape in Middle Tennessee. By gaining a greater understanding of this data, we begin to map out the means to ensure every person in our region has the opportunity, support, and resources to connect to a career in a high-wage, high-demand pathway. This report lays the groundwork for collaboration among policymakers, educators, talent and economic development professionals, employers, and researchers. We invite employers, agencies, community partners, and local, state, and regional government officials to join us as we walk through the results of the study and highlight innovative best practices from around the workforce region

Rupa DeLoach, Vice President of Research for the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, will give a brief overview of the report and Marla Rye, Executive Director of the Northern Middle Tennessee Workforce Board, will moderate a panel of employers and practitioners.

We are grateful to the Northern Middle Tennessee Workforce Board (NMTWB) for their foresight in underwriting this study. Their support was critical in the undertaking of this study of the 17-county Nashville and Clarksville Metropolitan Statistical Areas.
