Who is Al. Neyer and what should we know about you?

For more than 125 years, Al. Neyer has offered a full-range of real estate development and design-build construction solutions for commercial clients. Established in 1894 and employee-owned since 2014, we specialize in urban mixed-use developments and build-to-suit commercial spaces including corporate headquarters, medical office buildings, multi-unit residential, and industrial facilities. Al. Neyer is continually recognized for our ability to collaborate and provide greater value, high-quality, and faster project delivery.

Al. Neyer is headquartered in Cincinnati, has offices in Pittsburgh, Nashville, and Raleigh, and serves a local, regional and national client base. Since entering the Nashville market in 2015, we have experienced rapid growth alongside the region’s explosive growth, with 40 local employee-owners and projects across Middle Tennessee.

What is unique about your business that makes you stand out?

As a design-build developer, we have a deep bench of experts in architecture, development, and construction, under the same roof, working collaboratively and proactively to provide solutions throughout the entire project. This integrated approach to our services allows us to meet our client’s needs better, with accelerated speed-to-market and a constant eye on budget. Streamlining and simplifying the development and construction process for our clients offers them peace of mind.

Our company values are ingrained in every part of our business.

Not only are each of us employee-owners, but we take ownership in each of the projects we assume for our clients as if it were our own.

We manage thousands of details with each project and believe that success is in the details. Each role in our company has its unique set of details. Carried out well, these define our success.

Everything we provide is a service to our clients and investors. With our roots in custom work, we understand that each stakeholder has unique needs and we consistently strive to exceed them.

What’s the best thing about doing business in Middle Tennessee?

Middle Tennessee’s support of economic growth and development drives the difference for our industry. City and economic development leaders play a critical role in each of our projects, and we are grateful for strong relationships with key partners who are pushing our region forward.

We recently hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for our client National Indoor RV Centers’ new facility in Lebanon with many local leaders in attendance, expressing their support and excitement for the new RV facility and sharing a warm welcome to NIRVC. Middle Tennessee’s greatest asset is its development-friendly environment created by great leadership.

What’s your biggest goal for your company this year?

We plan to continue growing our footprint and our team! We have over 3 million square feet under construction across the Nashville region, and we are excited to deliver best-in-class facilities to the market. We have our first urban multifamily project underway – Aspire Midtown at 18th and Patterson – and we are excited to leverage our company’s multifamily experience in this market.

How do you stay involved in the community?

As a company, we are dedicated to improving the built environment, and we actively support the arts and local parks. Our employee-owners are engaged in a variety of community impact initiatives throughout the year, and we facilitate company-wide service days and campaigns to foster volunteerism and charitable giving. Here in Nashville, Vanderbilt University Medical Center has been a great partner and client, and we recently assembled care packages for children receiving care at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. Our core company purpose of “Building Pride in Real Estate” extends beyond our work as a design-build developer, and we prioritize building up our local communities by giving back.
