Meet Josh Ward

Vice President of Industrial Development Board

Tell us about yourself?
Ward is a Nashville native with a background in recruitment, commercial real estate, and economic development that moved to Clarksville after graduating from MTSU with a bachelor’s degree in communications. He helped countless businesses find office, retail, and warehouse space during his role as Commercial Property manager with Millan Enterprises from 2017 to 2021 and has supported IDB economic development efforts as director of Economic Development since joining the team in October of 2021.

Combining recruiting and real estate background was a good fit for economic development.

Regional partnerships.

What has been a career highlight for you?
The 800-student industrial childcare center, $5 billion in capital investment over the past 3 years.

How does your business support the Chamber’s mission of creating economic prosperity by facilitating community leadership?
We help companies locate, remain, and expand in the greater Nashville Region.

What are key trends in your industry?
Companies are looking for a compelling workforce story–how to meet workforce demands in a competitive environment. Clarksville has answers.

What is your favorite leadership book?
The Motive by Pat Lencioni. The principles of the book keep me centered on responsibility over reward.
