Many of our members have reached out to help businesses, residents and employees impacted by the destruction of 2nd Avenue and historic downtown Nashville. Approximately 45 businesses have been directly impacted by the bombing on 2nd Avenue, representing about 1,200 employees. The Chamber, along with other partners, are working to connect people impacted by job loss due to the explosion to potential employers.

  • The Nashville Downtown Partnership has set up a page to keep downtown residents and business owners up to date on information and services.
  • All requests to Metro Government should be sent through hubNashville.
  • If you are interested in providing financial assistance to affected businesses, residents and employees, several organizations are raising funds. Below is a list of those we are aware of:
    • United Way of Greater Nashville has set up a Restore the Dream fund for long-term disaster recovery support.
    • The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee and NewsChannel5 have established the Nashville Neighbors Fund which will provide grants to nonprofits to support immediate and long-term needs arising from the bombing.
    • The Community Resource Center is providing immediate assistance through food and essential item donations.
    • The Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp is collecting donations to be used for gift cards for impacted residents, businesses and their employees.
  • Those interested in volunteering should sign up for opportunities through Hands On Nashville at hon.org.
