Tell us about yourself?
I have 27 years of experience with American Airlines, currently working as the General Manager in Nashville. One of my proudest achievements includes leading my team to win a prestigious customer cup award. Outside of work, I am passionate about spending time with loved ones and volunteering my time to supporting nonprofit organizations, to help raise money for both breast cancer and pancreatic cancer research, as both are very near to my heart.

Tell us about your business/industry?
The airline industry is a dynamic and essential sector that facilitates connectivity through air travel. Airlines serve as vital conduits for business, tourism, and trade, linking cities and countries across the world. Airlines also contribute significantly to national and global economies by generating employment, driving tourism, and facilitating trade and investments. Airlines remain resilient by adapting to changing conditions and innovating to overcome obstacles such as fuel price volatility, pandemics and geopolitical instability.

What should we know about you?
I truly enjoy living and working in Nashville and I look forward to see the growth of the city as well as my industry.

How did you get to your current position?
I was promoted to my current position from a previous role in Columbus, Ohio.

What value do you see in Chamber involvement?
I see so many opportunities from Chamber involvement, such as networking opportunities, advocacy and representation, as well as business resources and support.

What do you enjoy most about being a leader?
The thing that I enjoy most about being a leader is the growth and development in my team. Having the ability to watch my team members become future leaders, is the reason I became a leader in the first place. I want to be able to instill in them the best qualities of a leader, just as my mentors have done for me.

What makes you proud to live and work in the Nashville area?
Nashville is such a great city and the reason I am proud to live and work in here is none other than the people. I have had the pleasure of meeting and interacting with so many talented individuals.

What is the most rewarding part of your job? What is the best part of working in your field?
The most rewarding part of my job is I get to be a part of connecting people throughout the world. Caring for people on life’s journey is what those here at American say, and that is truly what we do each day.
