What’s the best thing about doing business in Middle Tennessee?
– Middle Tennessee has just about everything PayMore wants or needs when it comes to business and economic growth. There are strong healthcare companies, universities, national brand company headquarters, and the tourism side of things, which makes it ideal for what we’re planning to accomplish. Not only does it have solid B2B opportunities, which makes us an ideal fit, but with Nashville being the ‚”it” city as of late, the local community continues to grow. There’s a solid foundation around the city, and as much as the opportunities continue to grow, it’s still the friendly/neighborly south.
What has been the most valuable aspect of your Chamber membership?
– I love the easy access to the members. For us, we throw our net out wide, as all businesses have tech needs. There’s something we can help with in just about every business. We like to say, ‚”Tech is our business; how can we help yours?” We can help unlock additional cash flow by purchasing those old, no longer needed devices. Recycle responsibly to help minimize electronic waste in the community. There’s a benefit for both sides. The chamber helps open those doors without having a ‚”cold call/sales” approach.
Who is PayMore Midtown, and what should we know about you?
– Essentially, we are a business for everyone’s tech and electronic needs. We want to exist as not only a business but also to provide a needed service for our customers. Our goal is to provide a fast and easy way for customers to buy, sell, trade, and recycle electronics while remaining data-safe. We streamline the process of getting the best value for your devices. Things like smartphones, tablets, laptops, PCs, drones, cameras, game consoles, video games, and more
What is unique about your business that makes you stand out?
– Having a retail location—a safe place to buy, sell, and trade. It sets us apart from customary meeting places, alleys, and other not-so-safe interactions. It’s personal. not over the internet, and not hoping that you’ll end up getting the value that you originally thought. Putting cash in someone’s hand streamlines things. It changes the process of buying and selling to a more face-to-face interaction. It’s seamless, efficient, and prioritizes the safety of our customers.
What’s your biggest goal for your company this year?
– From a goal standpoint, they’re large. Eventually, I’ll be opening seven total in the Middle Tennessee market. My first store just opened in Midtown. My second will open in Hermitage in November or December. I am working on leases in Murfreesboro and Franklin, so I hope to have four open within the first full year of business. I plan to provide a safe, hassle-free, and unique experience for my customers and their old electronics. We are nothing without our customers, and building customer trust is important. Part of that goal is educating our customers and potential customers that old devices still have value. We want to ensure that, on new or lightly used devices, you get the highest possible cash offer.
What’s your best piece of advice for other business owners?
– Advice to other business owners. Listen to your customers. As I said before, you don’t exist without customers. Build their trust. If you work for them, they will ultimately be working for you. I tell my staff and previous businesses as well. Take care of the customers. The customers will take care of the business, and I’ll take care of you. If there’s a crack in that triangle, bad things will happen. People make mistakes. Businesses make mistakes. It’s how you fix them, learn from them, and move forward.
How do you stay involved in the community?
-We’re just getting started in the community. But getting involved on a local level is really something we’re all about. I currently work with a few schools and have discount programs for them, as well as sponsorships I’m working on. In my other businesses, I’ve sponsored sports teams and have good relationships with schools outside of Nashville, on the outskirts of town. I plan on doing the same as the business is building.
What differentiates my business from the competition?
– I kind of said it before, regarding the retail location. But, from a competitive standpoint, currently, there’s nothing else out there that will buy, sell, trade, or recycle the way we do– efficient, seamless, face-to-face, and safe.
