With forums, mailers, ads, and door-to-door campaigning, we are all aware that we are in the midst of one of the most important election cycles in our city’s recent history. We are poised for a major turnover in our city’s elected leadership—Nashvillians will elect a new mayor and vice mayor, and nearly half of the 40-member Metro Council could be new members.
Voter Registration
The first step to making your voice heard in this election is registering to vote or making sure your registration is up to date before the deadline on Tuesday, July 5. Fortunately, it has never been easier to register to vote in Tennessee. Registering to vote, updating your address, or checking your registration status is fast, easy, and secure with the Secretary of State’s online voter registration system. Early Voting
Early voting for Davidson County begins Friday, July 14 and runs through Saturday, July 29. You may choose a location convenient to work or home—there are no assigned locations. Early voting sites are open during the day, some evenings, and on Saturday. The last day to request an Absentee Ballot is July 27.
Election Day
On election day, you must vote at your assigned polling location open from 7:00 AM — 7:00 PM. To look up your assigned polling location, visit the Davidson County Election Day Polling Place Finder.
