The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce hosted another successful Intro Nashville program session earlier this month! Aimed at both newcomers and native Nashvillians to gain a highly curated, behind-the-scenes look into our region, the Chamber’s Intro Nashville program includes a treasure trove of information for residents of Middle Tennessee. Program participants enjoy meaningful conversations with fellow participants and “storytellers”—dynamic speakers and experts in their fields.

Three half-days of programming touch on all the unique characteristics of our region. The first day, titled ‚”It” City?, explored our local economy by featuring leaders from a wide range of key industries, including transportation, hospitality and tourism, workforce development and talent, manufacturing, and the finance industry. This day was graciously hosted by First Bank and the Convention and Visitor Corp.

The second day, Athens of the South, started at Lipscomb University. Participants discussed our region’s prek-12 education, higher education and workforce, healthcare, and Metro government/neighborhoods. This was followed by a stop at the National Museum of African American Music, where participants toured and learned about public service and safety from the Nashville Fire Department.

This was followed by day three: Find Your Rhythm in Music City. The participants met at Hastings Architecture to discuss volunteerism, community involvement, and cultural diversity. The day closed with a visit to the Polsinelli Law offices to learn more about our region’s culinary arts and sports landscape.

The program concluded with a closing reception featuring former Nashville Mayor Karl Dean. Mayor Dean discussed pivotal moments in Nashville’s history, highlighted various landmarks in our city, and spoke on the future of Nashville.

Registration is currently open for the program sessions in February and April. Participant acceptance is on a first-come, first-served basis.
