Director, Small Business and Growth Initiatives

Serves as the staff lead for the content development, implementation and management of various programs including Business Studio, Leadership Connect, Leadership Connect Advisory Committee and Alumni Group, Nashpreneurs Conference and Happy Hours, the Small and Diverse Business Forum, Supplier Procurement Fair, and other small business programs as assigned. The Director, Small Business and Growth Initiatives will ensure these programs meet the objectives set in the annual strategic plan and budget.

Coordinator, Talent Development

Provides project management, event, meeting, committee and general administrative support for the Chamber’s Talent team on initiatives including pre-K-12 education, postsecondary attainment, adult attainment, committees, councils, grant activities, employer engagement and cross-department initiatives. Maintains strong customer service relationships with team members, Chamber staff, volunteers and stakeholders and Chamber members interested in getting involved in initiatives. Develops strategies and collateral to share information about department initiatives with Chamber members, key stakeholders and partners; assists with newsletter development, blogs and website content.

Director, Talent Pipelines

Responsibility for the development and implementation of initiatives that create greater collaboration between the region’s employers and training/education providers to better align the skills, credentials and degrees needed in the workforce. Includes building direct talent pipelines by creating career pathway partnerships between secondary and postsecondary institutions and regional employers to guide graduating high schoolers and adults into programs that prepare them for high-growth, high-demand career fields. Primary responsibilities include leadership of the Talent Solutions Council and Talent Pipeline Management System across multiple sector-based collaboratives. Also supports efforts to connect organizations serving unique talent pools with employers who are interested in expanding their talent pipelines.
